oops!!!

I just happened to delete all the work I have done in past 3 years.. and I dont have a backup.. (except that in my mind of course).

One valuable lesson I have learnt from this: - Dont use rm -rf in linux. :-)

I just never had the habit of taking a backup.. Everything just fires back.. I heard someone say sometime that "Things that can go wrong will go wrong.." Makes sense now..

I have always been learning on the job.. And one hell of a lesson learnt today..

Let me start writing those scripts again :-) tata..

Me writing this post from office, sitting in the middle of a meeting room and my laptop is projected in the screen (Of course the in the extended Desktop mode :-))..

Its really really bugs me to sit here and listen to people giving me funda.. They treat me as if I am a bacha(kid)...

I m kinda getting very much bored lately.. No interest to work.. Probably I think that I am doing something without all my heart in it.. Quite possible.. I usually am very much interested in whatever I do.. Never like this before.. :-)

"Garbage Collection"

A guy came to our house today asking for money for collecting garbage... We said we don put garbage in the front. We have employed a lady for cleaning and she doesnt keep the garbage in the front of the house.

He said he has been collecting money from whoever is living here for past so long years. We have been living at this place for 1.5 years and we have never seen him before..

People have found a way to exploit other people nowadays.. You can see men collecting money for parking(Though those are not authorized parking spaces).. 10 -15 Rs per bike..

Our area counselor said that he would lay better roads if every house pays 3000Rs to him.. He is collecting money to pave roads that Govt is paying to do..

This is the worst kind of attitude that could develop in the minds of people.. All they care about is money.. There are very few people nowadays who actually believe in honour and respect and a way of life..

Don worry.. Be happy...

How much I need a Sunday...

Yup.. Its sunday again.. Isnt it a strange feelin? You wanna do something useful in your life all the time but all you can long for is a day that is going to be worthless..

All we hope in life is to sit on a park bench, feel at ease and ogle at gals... But how much do we suffer to realize this? Life has become more and more complicated... People's expectations have become high.. Cant complain..

Anyway, back to the topic, no matter how much or how less you work over the weekends, Sunday is always special.. It boosts the energy in you to carry over the next week. I have a touch week at work, a Sunday will always be the light at the end of the tunnel. We long for that one day where you forget all the worries (actually you dont really forget but dont worry about them) and sit idle.. I love being idle and dont have to worry about anything but that hasnt happened in a long time..

I dont know about anyone else but without a Sunday, everyday will be a "Sin"day.

Me back..

Hi Guys,

This is my first real weekend after my last post.. Been very busy.. Lots of headache.. I don know whats the point in me doing all this work since I "dont" want to do those things. Is it really worth doing something you dont like??

But I guess it comes as a package.. So cant complain.. Tuk some rounds in Gwaihir.. Fed her for the first time (gas :-)).. Again second time.. Roamed all around Bangalore..

Had this very big headache last two days.. Didnt talk to my friends even.. I know someone is very angry :-)..

Went to office yesterday finished some work.. Still there is something pending but I can always do that on monday.. I should take some time off.. So all I do today is gonna be eat, sleep, rest and rest.. he he..

Stronghold Crusader..

Crusader has become one of my most favorite games.. Its kind of strange.. I find LOR games strategically better than this one...

I ve been playing crusader for about 7 years now and I still love it!!! May be its because of those crazy sounds and dialogues.. May be because I win almost every time.. Hmmm.. Don know why but I just love playing this game and no POP, LOR, NFS or AOE could give me this kind of satisfaction.. Whatever might the reason be, I feel good.. Nothing else matters.

Happy gaming!!!!

GoodReads..

This is an excerpt from an article by Ms. Anu Aga in march 2011 entrepreneur magazine issue.. Just loved the analogy.. :-)

'What I find amusing is that no entrepreneur accepts he/she is dishonest and yet we find the country riddled with dishonesty. This reminds me of a famous story of Akbar. The monarch wanted to nourish the poor children in his capital. He directed each household to pour one jar of milk, at night, into the mosque tank, to build up a reservoir of milk. Hundreds of his affluent subjects responded. The next morning the tank was filled alright - but with water instead of milk!! Perplexed, Akbar turned to his prime minister, the wise Birbal, for an explanation. "Your majesty," Birbal responded, "You have just witnessed a classic case of individual gain and collective loss. Each household dumped a jar of water into the tank, hoping that it would go unnoticed among the hundreds of gallons of milk brought by others. But all households had the same idea. The result: a tank full of water instead of milk!" Each business house denies that it is corrupt, and yet we find India riddled with corruption and lack of governance.'

Nice na.. Actually I find it more relevant to  our politicians :-)

my First Bike...

Hey all,

I got my first bike last friday!!! She is awesome. She is a great bike.. She is an Apache Surge 150 2006 model and looks still very young :-) (Look at d pic..).. Got her at 50% price and feel great.. I named her Gwaihir(Its the name of the eagle king in "The Lord of the Rings").

The previous owner is a bike enthusiastic. His wife cried parting with her :-) I promised her I will take care of the bike really well. and I intend to keep the promise..

I have ridden plenty of bikes but the very first moment I touched her (after the payment), I felt a great feeling at my heart that I own something very beautiful.. She gives a very good mileage and runs very smooth.. Just rode her about 200 kms so far but have an awesome feeling whenever I start riding..

I own a lot of things but they are either with my parents or I buy something for someone else. This is the only big thing that I solely own and use it myself.. May be that's the reason I am very much attracted to her..

I can keep talking about her forever. Love her so much.. But lets see how far.. anyhow she will always be my first bike..

Welcome..

Lets start blogging...
